High-Profile Cases

Certain fatalities in confinement have been publicly known, including a 50-year-old healthcare leader who died in detention after four months in custody.

A prisoner held with the individual reported that he was brought to the exercise area by prison staff shortly before his passing, obviously hurt and naked from the lower body. His remains has not been repatriated to Gaza.
